Oil in Yasuní National Park
In this article we are going to
talk about oil extraction, the amount of space that oil exploitation can be
made, its influences, its advantages and disadvantages to the planet and to the
human being, we are going to concentrate on data about the Yasuní National
Park, taking into account everyone's arguments.
Oil extraction has a great influence on the country's economy in several ways, since it allows us to enter money for a number of barrels, it also leads anyone to start a new business in its surroundings.
The National Assembly authorized
1030 hectares of the Yasuní ITT reserve for oil exploitation, but in February
2020, in a referendum, Ecuadorians voted for the exploitation area to be
reduced to 300 hectares, so that the intangible zone is hindered with the in
order to protect the territory of indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation.
Oil extraction has several
advantages, such as the large amount of energy that it can give us, many
derivatives for the industry, it also offers us the possibility of transporting
long distances since oil is used as fuel for cars, without stopping aside the
large amounts of economic income for the state; At a disadvantage, we can see
how the planet is being damaged, thanks to the malfunction of oil extraction
factories and contamination by products derived from its processing.
In my opinion, in national parks,
including Yasuní ITT Park, we should not exploit it or damage its natural
habitat, since it is a reserve that nature gave us and that is full of life,
diversity, among others. And although we need oil for various products such as
gasoline, plastics, synthetic fabrics, rubbers, rubber and latex, among others,
we must look for other types of mechanisms for the production of necessary
objects that do not destroy our planet since we are not the only ones living ,
and the fossil minerals will eventually run out.
